It has been a while since I’ve visited The Planet, and in the meantime they’ve updated their site completely. They’ve launched a new brand Planet Northstar, which offers Managed Hosting, while their Dedicated Servers business is now branded as Planet Alpha.
What haven’t changed is their great deals. This week you can get a Celeron 2.0+ for $69/month with free setup, a Dual Xeon 2.4 IDE for $139/month or network backup free for 90 days.
The Celeron server comes with an Intel Celeron 2.0 GHz processor, 80 GB IDE/SATA harddrive and 512 MB RAM. The normal price is $89/month + $25 setup fee, but by using the promotional code c20 you will get free setup and only get charged $69/month.
The Dual Xeon server comes with two Intel Xeon 2.4 GHz processors, two 80 GB IDE/SATA harddrive and 1 GB RAM. The normal price is $209/month + $25 setup, but by using the promotional code dx24i you will only pay $139/month and get free setup likewise.
